I don't know if you exist. I'm not a follower of a religion that preaches your existence. But Katie believes you exist, and right now that's good enough for me.
God, watch over Your child, who needs You. I know all people need some level of suffering in their life, that it defines pleasure, it makes the good parts of existence appreciable... but if You could see fit to look out for poor Katie, and maybe make sure she doesn't get more than her fair share of it...
She deserves her chance at happiness; she needs life to ease off her, and let her be a mother and a lover and a friend without interference or trouble, for a while, or at least so I think. And if You bave a different plan for her, far be it from me to question that -- this is just a prayer for Katie, for Your blessing on her and what succor You choose to give her.
