[Ha ha! There he is, shoving his way though an obnoxious shrub.] Damn th--why is it so pointy?!

I believe the point of spines like that are to stop it getting eaten by animals.

[Despite the dry sarcasm, the tension in her body seemed to fade as she saw him, something of a relief taking over her.]

[Morgan just waves a hand at that sentiment, moving to plop down beside her.]

[She sighed, glancing back to the bloodsplatter on her robe- thankfully, now mostly washed out.]

...I didn't control you and order you to come here, you know.

[But she was glad to see him, all the same.]

Nope, you didn't. But if the choice is "go to a friend who needs someone" or "ignore that friend"... [He shrugs. Get the point? It's technically a choice, but with only one possible outcome.]

...I suppose so. I just wanted to give you a warning about him, that's all.

[She rings the cloak out, before rubbing at her wrist where the bracelet had been earlier that day.]

If you had to give me that warning, you needed a friend.

[He understands that instinctively. It's terribly obvious.]

I will be...I thought without my power as a Servant, Command Seals weren't a concern any longer. Evidently this world sought to prove otherwise.

[Morgan folds his arms, leaning forward as he tries to think of the proper thing to say. This takes a moment.]

Some choices aren't choices at all. But they're still choices. If you didn't have a choice, it wasn't you.

Mm...the first time was with a Master from my world- Kadoc- we got along well. I was intrigued to see what a pact between us would feel like, so I didn't have any objections to that arrangement. He knows how to treat a Servant well, and used the 'pact' to let me show off my magic.

[A pause, before she shivered.]

...Then there was Yuber. He wasn't so willing to relinquish his newfound power.

Did you ever see that broadcast where he murdered people over the network? He has a taste for bloodshed.

Maybe she should take his word, this time around?]

[His response is subtle, a tensing of every muscle in his body.]

I missed that. As you can tell by the fact that I haven't stopped him. I see why you advise avoiding him.

[She saw that response.]

[A brittle crack in her voice- her emotions already frayed.]

Don't worry. I don't think that would go well for me.

[Mostly because he'd be likely to get imprisoned or something.]

[A panicked desperation- it had only been a couple of days since finding out the fate of her precious Souichirou-sama, another loss of someone she cared dearly for was the last thing she could manage.

...Not that she'd tell him that detail tonight. She didn't have the strength to explain what happened just yet.]

[Chuckling, Morgan leans over to sling an arm around Caster's shoulder's and tug her in close.]

I'm not going to say I'm invincible, or I'll never die. But I'm honestly very good about staying alive. Better than you'd think.

[Caster bristled a little at the hug, but then put the cloak to one side and leant into his shoulder.]

It took me a while to learn it, so be glad you're running into me now. Of course, you would have hated younger me, so it wouldn't have been an issue.

Yep, exactly. Had a person or two try to kill me back then out of sheer annoyance. Or get me to kill myself. But no one here has that desire, as far as I know, despite what a horrible person I am!

I get the gist, yeah. And here I got stuck with a bunch of people who wouldn't do a damn thing with those bracelets, even when I told them it was okay and to go for it.
