Apr. 5th, 2004 09:12 pmStephen TPed my house, and that was my introduction to April Fools' Day.
Of course, that was hardly the beginning of it. I hired a cleaning company to come fix the mess, then tracked Stephen down and pulled off a stellar performance of being incredibly pissed off at him. Then I pulled out my gun and shot him. Repeatedly. Fortunately, he started laughing once he realized it was only paintballs.
Meanwhile, Katie came up with this elaborate prank idea on Seamus -- convincing him Cat was pregnant, Stephen and Don had shot each other, I had run off with her to Vegas, and so on and so forth. We actually pulled it off up through the first two parts when he figured it out. Then Stephen and I re-enacted an epic fight, "gunning" each other down right there in the Inn! Oh, it was glorious.
My enjoyment of the night kind of tanked when I discovered it was Seamus's birthday. No one told me. I wasn't prepared at all! I ended up getting him the last minute gift of grocery gift cards. Lame, I know, but he seemed to like them.
Cadence and I talked a while, but she's been kind of off lately. It turns out that she's gotten antsy over some people not coming through on finding information on her parents. Last night she set out to find them. Well, at least on a step of the journey. I wish her luck.
Yeah. Well, Nhairis stopped by -- twice. The first time, just to see how I was doing. The second time, to apologize for releasing me from her dojo -- because now she's realized she was manipulated by Shadow and Andrea. Things are... very bad for her, now. I want to make up with Andrea, or at least not fight with her any more, so Nhairis can stop being so miserable. But evidently she's off in the Umbra somewhere and in no hurry to get back.
Why do I bother? Why do I even try any more?
