There's good news, and there's bad news. Which is better than being all bad news, but still...

The good news is, Stephen and I are no longer fighting. For all the effort that took, I feel like I should get a Medal of Honor. I had to call him up and apologize for going too far with helping him out with Cat. I mean -- honestly, I don't understand this situation at all. But it's behind us now, and Stephen doesn't seem to NEED any help with Cat at this point. They're very happy, and that's good.

I haven't written about this before, however, because of what else has been going on. Get this.

Saturday night I had this place decked out for a party of epic and monumental proportions. Was gonna have the Teen Titans over for fun and games until shamefully late in the night. When all of a sudden my cell phone goes off -- it's the house security alarm. So downstairs I go, to figure out what's going on. I figure it's the Chorus again, and I'm in no mood to play. But lo-and-behold, the place is dark -- much darker than I left it, and I hear something from the weapons room. Egads, an intruder! And the bitch is stealing my mother's sword.

I put a bullet through her shoulder. This doesn't stop her, and even more annoyingly, she turns out to be a werewolf. I've never fought a werewolf before, but it comes as no surprised to me that she's stronger, tougher, and faster than I am. Certainly enough so that it made up for my clever strategies. Of course, her having the only silver weapon in the house didn't help...

I don't remember most of the battle. I seem to recall getting smashed through a table at one point. I know the werewolf wasn't really trying to kill me, and that raises any number of questions -- but regardless, I do know I nearly died.

I woke up the next morning to discover Stephen had bandaged me up, apparently. I dragged myself out of bed and forced myself through the Playful Wind sword form, only to discover that werewolves seem to innately interfere with my self-control. I managed to restore functionality to my arm, shallow out the gouges in my chest, and make my shoulder less hamburgery, but there was a long way to go still.

Actually I healed it most of this morning. I should be fine very soon. Which is good. I need to get my mother's sword back.

Evidently I've got help! Sydney and Don Harada, after they put their clothes back on (long story there), noticed I was hurt and forced me to spill my guts on what happened. Cat didn't help things, she blabbed shamelessly about what was going on. It was weird, though -- they seemed to almost expect that I would have let them know what happened, gotten them involved immediately. Now don't get me wrong, they're great people, but -- well, I barely know them. Not well enough to bring them into a fight with werewolves. I'm honestly a bit scared that they're underestimating the opposition. But they did want to help, and we even found a suitable role for Cat to play, that will keep her safe and involved. So now I have to hope everything works out.

Irina. Where do I begin about Irina?

She's not the cool, confident, clever girl she presented herself to be, I see that clearly now! We talked a great deal on Friday, we even went driving. Somehow she though that when I was playfully tugging her into my lap, I wanted something more... Where she got that idea, I have no idea. Underneath the facade she presents, she's shy and scared.

I swear she nearly had a stroke last night. She didn't seem to take news of me getting hurt well at all. Not like anyone really did, I imagine, but Stephen and Cat, for example, could just write it off as part of me being me. She couldn't. I feel sort of like I'm walking on eggshells with her, and I'm no good at that.

I like her, don't get me wrong. She's smart and attractive, and she's funny when she's not being... off. I just don't know if she's right for me. But I think if she isn't, I'm going to hurt her by that fact. I really don't know what to do.

Robot girls are sounding better and better all the time.
