Knight Corporation Gets New Plan
Morgan Knight outlines plans, vowing "never again"

LOS ANGELES -- In an hour-long press conference yesterday, the president of Knight Corporation outlined a broad, thorough plan to address potential corruption and other problems through the corporation and all its subsidiaries.

In the wake of a March 17 disaster in which twenty-three people lost their lives, president Morgan Knight took the initiative in crafting a plan and outlining it before the press and concerned politicians on city, state, and federal levels.

"The philosophy my father built this company on is that it is more important to do the right thing than to squeeze every penny of profit where it can be taken," Knight said to open the conference, "and I believe in my father's vision." From there, Knight laid out the groundwork for an ambitious plan to address corruption and illegal activities within Knight Corporation and its holdings.

"I believe that almost all of are employees are god people -- and every effort will be made to ensure they can continue in their jobs unimpeded. But every effort must ALSO be taken to stop problems before they can cause trouble -- especially the sort of trouble that so recently touched this community."

So that was my great adventure in Los Angeles.

I really have to say that despite what anyone may say, I think I did the right thing. And I can keep trying to make sure that my company does the right thing to.

I think I cut out the newspaper articles so that when I go back and look through this, I can remember the objective view at the time. Rather than my usual guilt over what I did wrong, or my arrogant self-defense, I can read what people everywhere read when it happened. "A terrible thing happened. It could have been prevented. Morgan did the right thing, but it wasn't enough to start with. But in the end what he did was right."

I don't know, honestly, if this trip has been good or bad for me. I feel -- a little more mature, I suppose, though whether I AM or not remains to be seen. Maybe it's just feeling good that things turned out right, if not all right, in the end.
