Jan. 7th, 2004 05:06 pmHeh, Rhydin keeps getting more interesting! See, Stephen and I decided to check out this place we'd heard about, the Well-Read Dragon, and the library therein. It wasn't too much to look at, but there were drinks there, and a downstairs filled with the scum of the earth, literally! I didn't even go through there... I'm the smart one!
Fallon showed up, we shot back drinks, and then I took her to the Moon -- since Black Sunshine, Stephen's car, is the jealous sort. No sooner did we get there than Fallon bolts -- I haven't the slightest idea why, although she said it wasn't because of us. She's the friendly sort, physically affectionate.
No sooner do we pop in to the Moon than there's an aunt Stephen doesn't have there! Evidently reality diverged somewhere, and here in Rhydin Drake Valkonan has a sister and discernable mental activity both. So lucky Stephen, having more family pop out of the woodwork. He's lucky I brought him here. Wish some of my family would appear.
But if nothing else, I met another girl -- Cat's her name, or at least the fraction of her name that doesn't make her twinge. She's hyper and a half, and she likes cars -- or liked them. She wanted to drive, shamelessly lying to us in the process, but we said what the heck -- Black Sunshine wouldn't let herself get hurt! But there's that jealous streak again -- BS let Cat ram her guardian's Mustang. Her guardian, incidentally, is a Ninja Turtle, but boy, so not like the cartoon. Fortunately, Stephen fixed his car, and all seemed well.
Cat has a boyfriend, evidently, but she went out of her way to make sure me and Stephen knew that she dated other people, and it was just casual. Wonder if that was a subtle hint?
I totally forgot to mention the s'mores, but that's how we met... she was passing them out. So now she's on the invite list for the opening party, and we've all tossed cell numbers around. It's cool to meet people!
