morganknightOkay. So I thought about it, and I decided there was really only one thing I can do -- make it clear to Stephen and Cat that I ain't after her, and let my brain-bloated compatriot figure out what to do in the absence of competition from me.
I mean, like I said -- I'm interested, but a girl isn't worth losing a friend over. There are other girls, but friends are rare. Stephen would hide in his lab if Cat and I hooked up, and I'd never see him again. This way, well, maybe something will happen and maybe it won't, but either way he'll have to deal with his feelings, instead of just trying to ignore them and end up resenting me if I succeed. I mean... I can take failure. Especially when I'm not trying!
So I talked to Stephen about this, and I have to talk to Cat about it. That's going to be a bit weird. I hope she doesn't take it the wrong way! Stupid Stephen, crushing. Bloody peasant!
Oh well. I hope everything will go well, however it goes. But dammit, I'm lonely, and this isn't helping! I want a family or a girlfriend or something.
